Christmas has arrived in style with a surprise Partner of the Year award from PCBWay! It's been an amazing year packed with projects, from dabbling in nickel plating to diving into full-color silk screen printing. The highlight? Taking the ESP32 rainbow from concept to a fully funded venture on Crowd Supply. With big plans for 2025 and exciting videos on the way, the future looks bright. Wishing everyone a merry Christmas and an exciting New Year!

[0:00] you know Christmas is here when a big
[0:01] box arrives from PCB
[0:04] way lots of nice goodies and a really
[0:06] amazing surprise it’s partner of the
[0:09] Year award this is a really solid chunky
[0:11] piece of aluminium thank you PCB way
[0:14] they’ve been a great supporter of the
[0:16] channel over the past few years I’d also
[0:18] like to give a big shout out to all my
[0:19] patreon and GitHub sponsors it’s really
[0:22] appreciated this has been a pretty
[0:24] jam-packed year we started off playing
[0:26] with very small esp32 boards SD cards or
[0:29] audio and TFT screens we made a brief FY
[0:33] into nickel plating initially trying it
[0:35] with pcbs and then having a go at nickel
[0:37] plating 3D prints I quickly realized
[0:40] that I was way out of my depth with this
[0:42] and got back to more pcbs and messing
[0:44] around with addressable LEDs it was
[0:47] around this time that full color silk
[0:49] screen printing started to become widely
[0:51] available and I leapt at the chance to
[0:53] try it out that took me to the biggest
[0:55] project of the year the ESP 32 rainbow
[0:59] I’m actually taking this from prefa
[1:00] concept all the way through to a live
[1:02] project it’s up on crowd Supply now and
[1:05] it’s fully funded but don’t worry you
[1:07] can still pre-order we won’t actually be
[1:10] shipping until April 2025 it’s been a
[1:13] fascinating experience going from
[1:15] prototype to product including things
[1:16] like C testing which is something I’ve
[1:19] never done before this project will take
[1:21] up a lot of time in q1 and Q2 but I’m
[1:24] planning to still get some pretty
[1:25] interesting videos out the door so stay
[1:28] tuned 2025 life is going to be equally
[1:31] exciting so here’s wishing you a very
[1:33] merry Christmas and looking forward to a
[1:35] prosperous New Year

A collection of slightly mad projects, instructive/educational videos, and generally interesting stuff. Building projects around the Arduino and ESP32 platforms - we'll be exploring AI, Computer Vision, Audio, 3D Printing - it may get a bit eclectic...
